Sveitagarðurinn Family Park opened in 2018. It´s within an hour drive from Reykjavík and is open during summer (1st June – 1st September). Here you find goats, sheep, horses and many other cute animals that you can get close to and pet. It is more like you are visiting a farm rather than a petting zoo. They also offer a lovely playground with slides, sandbox, jumping castle and more. Lovely staff and the animals are well taken care of. A great way to spend the day out in the country with your kids.
